American MyBeau holds the exclusive license to manufacture and sell the MyBeau liquid dietary supplements developed at New Zealand’s Massey University for VitaPower Ltd of New Zealand. In 2002 John Palamountain, Managing Director of VitaPower, sold his dog food manufacturing company after 25 years in the industry. Throughout those 25 years he had tried unsuccessfully, as had his competition, to produce a dog food with enough nutrition for New Zealand’s herding dogs to work every day at full speed. After selling his business, John commissioned Massey University’s Schools of Dietary Science and Veterinary Science to develop a vitamin and mineral supplement, incorporating 21st Century science, that would meet this challenge. After a year of research the MyBeau products were developed as highly bio-available liquid vitamin and mineral nutritional supplements formulated of natural ingredients in a base rich in the essential Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids. In clinical testing at Massey, these formulas have been proven to be 99.5% digestible and thus readily available to enhance the functions of animals‚ internal systems. MyBeau’s natural nutrition gets into animals’ bodies where it can function unlike most supplements that past through animals‚ GI tracks.
As VitaPower started to distribute these products in New Zealand they found that they had benefits far beyond what they had envisioned. Not only did they prove to have great value for the working dogs, giving them the stamina to work daily under very strenuous conditions, but they were also great for companion animals, such as dogs and cats, and even for horses, cattle and birds. The products were first given to horses when a thoroughbred trainer, complained of a horse that had never made money and asked John to help him sell the horse for dog food. John offered the trainer the MyBeau product as a last measure before taking that action. Three weeks later, the horse came in 3rd in a race and has since won several times. Based on these remarkable results, the MyBeau Equine for pleasure horses and the MyBeau PRO for race horses and other competition horses were developed. MyBeau PRO is now being used worldwide in the top thoroughbred racing venues. Ten of the 20 horses entered in the 2007 Kentucky Derby were MyBeau horses. Todd Pletcher trained, Rags to Riches won the 2007 Kentucky Oaks and Larry Jones trained, Hard Spun placed second in the Kentucky Derby. MyBeau horses topped three out of five two-year-old in training sales as well. This follows the excellent results achieved by MyBeau trained thoroughbreds in 2006.
Howard Virkler, now President of American MyBeau, heard of the MyBeau products and went to New Zealand to meet VitaPower and the scientists at Massey University. He was impressed by the VitaPower staff and factory and their patented manufacturing process. Howard visited the Tarrara Breeding farm where Massey conducted investigations of the benefits of the MyBeau formula on the quality of sperm collected from bulls for artificially insemination. Howard was most impressed when he met Rod Pearce, VitaPower’s Chairman, who told him of how he first learned of MyBeau. Rod owns a large sheep ranch with 8,000 sheep he manages with 4 dogs. At 13, his oldest dog refused to leave his kennel for work. He was worn out. After trying many things to rejuvenate his old dog, Rod started feeding MyBeau. In a week the dog was up and working, in three weeks he was back servicing the females which he had not done for some time. Rod was so impressed he purchased half the company, becoming Chairman of VitaPower and under writing the future development of VitaPower. (Rod’s old dog lived and worked two and a half more years, truly a remarkable result of regular feedings of MyBeau.)
Published clinical testing performed in 2005 and 2006 at Massey University has proven that regular feeding of MyBeau along with an industry approved feed increased the disease fighting antibodies in animals’ blood by 50% or more with no adverse effects. These tests indicated that MyBeau supplements enabled animals to extract more nutritional value from their feed and also that animals receiving MyBeau supplements with their feed produced approximately 20 less fecal waste. MyBeau products are All-In-One supplements researched and formulated to provide all the nutrition animals’ require that is not available from their feed. MyBeau All-In-One nutritional supplements improve skin and coat health, immune system function, gastrointestinal health, heart and organ health and animals‚ ability to process their food and train for peak performance and vitality.
American MyBeau obtained the exclusive rights to VitaPower’s unique patented supplements for the Western Hemisphere in September 2005 and began manufacturing the MyBeau products in Charlotte, NC in the spring of 2006.
